FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know before booking your tattoo with Vessel.

This is my first tattoo, is it going to hurt?

Yes, tattoos can hurt. But breathe, we will make sure you are as comfortable as
possible.

First things first, we need your ID. Please bring your drivers license, passport,
state card or military ID. You must be 18 to get tattooed. No exceptions. We
recommend bringing an ipad, ipod, or a book to keep you distracted and
entertained. A snack or a drink if you have a long session, and last but not
least… Payment.

Yes, as long as you go to a reputable artist that is following all recommended safety precautions, getting a tattoo is perfectly safe.

The most important thing is to wear something comfortable.

Also keep in mind, depending on where you are getting tattooed you might want to cover up some places that might show.

We recommend dressing more comfortably and less fashionable.

There are no specific ground rules for this, but tips are greatly appreciated.

Once you book an appointment with your artist, please ask them about what
forms of payment they accept.

Our shop minimum is $100. Each artist has different rates, please ask your artist
upon booking what their hourly rate is or what the tattoo would cost.

If you are sick, we definitely ask that you reach out to your artist about
rescheduling. No-one likes to be sick.

ABSOLUTELY. Reach out to the artist of your choice and ask them for a
consultation to discuss your idea.

Yes, but please let your artist know ahead of time so they can make
accommodations if needed. We do have limited space and ask that you don’t bring the whole family.

Our artists run their own schedules. Please read their bio on how to book with which artist you would like to be tattooed by. Or If you aren’t sure which artist would be best for you, give us a call or email.

Some of our artists do, and some do not. Please ask upon your consultation.

No. You must be 18 years old.

Some of our artists are available for walk-ins, but we do suggest calling ahead of
time to check their availability.

Please check out our after care page, it has full details of how to make sure you lookafter your new artwork.
